RIP Rue

I was terribly saddened today when I learned that Rue McClanahan had passed away. I've had such a long history of watching the Golden Girls since my college years (and still do to this day), and I admire all four of the actresses on that show. The show was phenomenal, and you couldn't help but fall in love with each actress and how she portrayed her particular character. I have a special fondness of Rue (aka Blanche) because my college roommate used to compare me to her...I am not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing. But today, I will be honored. 

So in honor of a fallen Golden Girl, I think I'll have a piece of cheesecake.
