List Yourself

I love looking at books in the self-help section of bookstores. I am always trying to figure out a fun way to figure me out. I stumbled upon a book back in January 2003 called List Yourself: Listmaking as the Way to Self-Discovery. Since I am a list-maker at heart, I thought this book would be really cool. Truth is...I haven't used it that much since 2003. I thought now would be a good time to pull the book back out and start listing myself to some sort of self-discovery.

I plan to start using the lists in the book on this blog. I'll share my "lists" with you, and I hope that you will share your lists, too!

List the first thoughts that run through your mind the moment you get up.
-Oh, Shit! It's already time to get up!
-Muscle up the strength to roll over and turn off the alarm.
-Ugghhhh!
-Must get a glass of sweet tea!
-Must get into shower to wake up!

List the names of all your pets, from childhood until today.
-Peanut (dog)
-Patty (cat)
-Kier (dog)
-Katie (dog)
-Miss Kitty (cat)
-Dimby (dog)
-Marlee (dog)
-Pinky (hamster)
-Scratchy (hamster)

  3. Do you feel dumber now that your wisdom teeth are out?? Did you take them home so the tooth fairy would visit and leave $10,000?? Uncle Bob

  4. In my sedated stupor, I did request to keep my teeth. They are still wrapped up in gauze and a sterile bag. I can't bring myself to look at them yet. Good thought about the tooth fairy...maybe I will put them under my pillow tonight. We'll see what happens!! xoxo, Stink
